Locate the learn button on the opener. Press the learn button for 1-2 seconds (Until the light begins to flash.) Press and release the big button on the remote then press and release the small button on the remote. The light will stop flashing. Your remote is now coded in. The big button will operate the door, the small button will operate the light.
C 945 INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED : SUITS MERLIN MR650, MR850 -
Press and hold down one of the buttons on the remote control. The orange LED on the opener will flash. This indicates the opener is receiving a signal from the transmitter. Press and release the LRN button on the opener. The courtesy Lights will flash once to indicate the code has been accepted. Your remote is now coded in.

Locate the code switches on the motor (usually hidden by a small black plastic access panel.) Remove the visor clip and battery cover from the new remote control. Locate the code switches in the new remote control. Match the code switches in the new remote control to the code switches in the opener. (DO NOT CHANGE THE CODE SWITCHES IN THE OPENER).
Alternatively, if you have an existing remote control, you can match the code switches in the new remote control to the code switches in your existing remote control.

Locate the door code button on the opener. Hold down the door code button. Press a button on the remote control for 2 seconds, then release. Wait 2 seconds. Press the same button on the remote control for 2 seconds, then release. Remove your finger from the door code button. Your remote control is now coded in.

Remove the cover and locate the receiver board (brown antenna wire attached) The learn button is on the receiver board. Press the learn button. Red LED #1 will illuminate. Press the button on the remote control. All four LED's will flash to confirm the remote has been coded in. Replace the cover.

For roller door openers: Remove the cover from the control box
Both: Press the receiver button once. A red light will come on. Press the big button on the remote control until the red light turns off. Your remote has been coded in.

1. Press and hold door code button on the opener.
2. Press the remotes button you would like to use to control the
door for 2 seconds.
3. Release and pause for 2 seconds. Press the same button
again for 2 seconds then release.
4. Release the door code button.
5. Press the remote button to test operation.
